Here's some sublime psych-blues from a major influence on The Paisley Underground:

  1. People forget that in 1968 nobody was ballsy enough to do what Jim Morrison did AND he made it look easy. Today Morrison has become a cliche, almost a joke, because his "poems" were sometimes weird and he liked his whiskey. That may be true but remember the cost to him. He put it all out there on the stage and he paid for it with his life.

  2. scurfie, I've always been a big Morrison fan, mainly because I like his voice and the mystique. Yes, he was pretentious but what "rock star" isn't? Elvis Presley? Robert Plant? David Bowie? ummm, right. On a side note, Robbie Krieger and John Densmore are seriously underrated. I'm feeling an itch to post some more Doors.
