I Have Resumed Posting on the New Blog

Hello all,

from time-to-time, I receive emails requesting re-ups on this blog. As you might know, I started a new version of luna last spring, but due to Mediafire wiping out my account I called it quits in May. Well, long story short, I have recently restarted the new blog, Meta (~) Luna, but in the spirit of this blog: lossless uploads paired with brief original reviews. Please visit the new blog at:

Enjoy the revival and please join the new site!

A New Luna

I have created new incarnation of Luna:

This new version of the blog will return to the original review and links to download format of the previous blog, but with some changes. I am planning on multi-installment reviews / histories focusing on specific artists or record labels. These will feature FLAC-only downloads. I will also post relevant (and not so relevant) photos and GIF files that I come across during my cyber travels. Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for your kind words and support during the past year, a difficult time for me to say the least. Coming into contact with so many good-hearted people out there in the music-sharing community has truly helped me to not give up. This is why I feel compelled to start the new blog. My work load has doubled since my Luna days, so posting will be less frequent; however, I'm hoping that aiming for quality will help overcome the lack of quantity. I am planning to have my first review installment posted by this weekend.

Stay tuned and PLEASE JOIN THE NEW BLOG!     ~V

Luna Update

Hello everyone,

After much reflection, I have decided to re-incarnate (La) luna simply because I miss feeling connected to all of you out there in the music sharing community. It will be a new blog called  Meta Luna, which will focus on reviews/band-artist histories, videos, links to purchase and occasionally downloads for music that is out of print. I have not yet decided on a file host. Currently, I'm in the process of creating the new blog in my spare time. It will bear many similarities to (La) luna, but hopefully it will be more informative and internet gestapo-proof. I will provide an update when the blog is nearly ready to go ~voix

Steve Harley & The Cockney Rebel- "Love's a Prima Donna" (1976) "Live" on Top of the Pops

A Question for the Readers

If you haven't heard, today Filesonic reacted to the Megaupload travesty in a very predictable way: files uploaded to their file-hosting service are now only accessible to the original uploader. This renders file-sharing impossible, and it is highly likely the other file-hosts will soon follow suit out of fear of prosecution. What this means is that file-sharing as we have known it in the blog world looks to be a thing of the past. There are still torrents, but the blog-end has been dealt a crippling blow (at least for now). My question for you is if there would be any interest in a review website with links to purchase from independent sellers and perhaps sound-clips but no free downloads? I await your input, as it will largely determine whether I return with a new blog in a month or so or if I instead focus all my efforts and energy on exploring my new status as an eligible bachelor....

(La) luna Update

Hello everyone,

For the next week or so, I'll be in the process of moving due to my impending divorce (God I hate writing that!), but after the move, I'm contemplating either starting a private blog or a new public blog with another file host such as Mediafire, Fileserve or Rapidshare. I will keep you posted about this new blog as I figure things out, and yes, if/when the new blog happens, I will post Heyday!  ;)  ~ Voix

Megaupload Siezed by the FBI

If you are trying to download and are finding it impossible, it is because today, the F.B.I. (Fascist Bureau of Intervention) seized the various domains of Megaupload.

Here is more info

As to what this means for the future of Plastic Palace People and (La) luna, I don't know, but I can tell you that I won't be posting anything for the foreseeable future. The music sharing landscape is changing quickly and it might be a good time sit back for a while and watch the fall out of this aggressive seizure. The writing on the wall doesn't look good.  ~ V

Love and Rockets- "No New Tale to Tell" Video (1987)

"When you're down, it's a long way up.
When you're up, it's a long way down.
It's all the same thing.
No new tale to tell."

The Psychedelic Furs- Forever Now (1982) MP3 & FLAC

Columbia ~ 2002/1982

Forever Now (Remastered & Expanded Edition)

Wall of Voodoo- Happy Planet (1987) MP3 & FLAC

I.R.S. ~ 1987

We are not Devo; we are Wall of Voodoo! This is the second of three albums Wall of Voodoo issued after Stan Ridgway went solo in 1984. While there is no denying that Ridgway's unique vocals and quirky songwriting are missed, his replacement, Andy Prieboy and the rest of the reformed band are not half bad, though the production is a bit too glossy. Nevertheless, if you are a Wall of Voodoo fan, you may want to take this for a spin.

Fat Possum ~ 2007/1978

One of the great American singer-songwriters, a man who spent much of his life wrestling with his considerable demons,  a man and musician I have endless admiration for. If you haven't explored his work previously, then now is the time ~ R.I.P. TVZ
