A Place of Respite for the World-Weary and Broken-Hearted
Heaven 17 are a band in "A Clockwork Orange".... I think...
Tim, yes! you are right. One chart ranking below Googly Gogol
Always known by the real afficianados of "A Clockwork Orange". :) Weren't these guys B.E.F. too? I remember that release being interesting. When Human League split into two factions, the brain left the band and ended up here (in Heaven 17).
bv, indeed they were. I am planning to post the first three albums and the BEF album.
What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? Hmm fuzzy warbles.....

I believe Heaven 17 is the milk bar hang-out in A Clockwork Orange. If memory serves, there's no mention of bands in the novel.
wilfofhove, hi, that is actually the Korova milkbar. You are right though that the name Heaven 17 isn't mentioned in Burgess's novel. In the film during the record store scene, one of the devotchkas asked Alex who he's getting and one of the bands mentioned is Heaven 17
