Thanks so much for the Swell Maps related music. I was a "sort of fan" of the swell maps back in the day. I loved bits of their stuff and could live without many other bits. I am especially interested in Nikki Sudden but also like Epic soundtracks effort here. The thing that struck me was the large amount of Post swell maps stuff out there. I am quite curious on your opinion on their other stuff or have some pointers what to avoid.
Thank you, I wanted to hear these albums so much, because they are the records Nikki recorded between the Swell Maps and the Jacobities. I was just curious at what they sounded like. More Swell Maps or Jacobities or other.
Butterflyrobot, thank you for your comment. In terms of Nikki Sudden's post-Swell Maps output, it's all worth hearing, though The Jacobites related stuff is absolutely essential. I posted a few of those earlier:
happy, how are you? These two early solo albums sound a little more rough than the Jacobites material, but are far more Jacobites than Swell Maps (in fact, many of the songs are electric versions of songs that would later be rerecorded by the Jacobites)
Thanks voixutre. I must say your site really is one of the best I have come across. I spent a good few days looking at bits of it, it kills my computer to download the large pages but it is all worthwhile. Many people just upload music but you provide interesting comment that shows you have listened to the music. Ironicly Nikki Suddens solo stuff is a bit of an exception - maybe you said all you needed to say in the other enteries. May you keep up the good work.
Argh! Just too late to grab The Bible Belt before Mega got pulled. Any chance of a FLAC re-up would be appreciated. Although I'm sure since you're archive seems to exclusively use Megaupload, I'm sure you have more than most the right to be disappointed. If I had a vote I'd use Filesonic. Best of luck anyways.
Waiting for Egypt you have downloaded? I can upload The Bible Belt, if you upload to some sort of sharing the album Waiting for Egypt. fadeawayperm@mail.ru Костя
